What do you when the girl of your dreams is not interested in you? This young man found the way into a woman's heart through the power of Spring Awakening. This is such a creative and cute video that we just had to share it with you. We also love the subtle use of the billboard for Spring Awakening in Dallas. Subliminal messaging at its best. LOL Only one weekend left to see us at the Winspear Opera House (new rave reviews just added to our Dallas post below, including a video featuring footage of Robi Hager as Hanschen) ! Thanks, Natalie, for allowing Spring Awakening into your heart. Leave comments below!
Dallas is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States--and we plan to have fun here. The fun started yesterday with celebrating Shi Shi Gabor's birthday. Happy Birthday Matt! First thing some company members did after checking into swanky loft digs? Went out and tried to blend in with the locals:
Freddy Hall tweets: "I've been in Texas for five hours and already got me a real cowboy hat and some good ol ridin' boots." Anthony Lee Medina tweeted, "Gonna be a cowboy for two weeks. Heck Yes!"
TICKETS We're honored to be part of the inaugural season at the new, gorgeous AT&T Performing Arts Center. Come see us at the Winspear Opera House from March 23-April 4th. Get yo' tickets here.
DID YOU KNOW? The Dallas Arts District, which includes the AT&T Performing Arts Center and four other state of the art venues, is the largest urban arts district in the United States
POST SHOW DISCUSSIONS In our effort to create discussions about the issues presented in our show, the venue has arranged post show discussions with local experts. Check out that schedule here.
STAGE DOOR: After the show, come and say howdy! Stage door is on NE side of building, adjacent to Jack Evans St.
Thursday, March 25, 2010 8:40 am CT LIVE In-Studio TV Interview and Performance – Good Day Dallas Steffi and Taylor perform "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind" on this local morning news/entertainment program.
We couldn't have asked for more than this rave review from WFAA TV. "Brilliant. Some of the moments are simply breathtaking. It remains an important and defining work in American Musical Theatre." Check out some of the new footage of Robi Hager as Hanschen!
THEATERJONES A beautifully written rave review ("Life doesn't happen without some pain, as brilliantly depicted in Spring Awakening.") that also goes into the history and significance of the original play.http://theaterjones.com/index.php?section=reviews&id=20100324074354
VIDEO! CBS 11 TV interview with Duncan Sheik: http://cbs11tv.com/video/?id=52945@ktvt.dayport.com (ha ha--They thought Tom Hulce was a member of the Broadway cast and were not sure if Lea Michele's in the tour or not)
There are still plenty of seats left ON-STAGE for our engagement at the Peace Center next week in Greenville, SC. This is your chance to snap up what fans of the show already know: sitting on the stage is a unique, once in a lifetime experience. It's been a while since we've had the luxury of playing in a city for more than a single week. The next stop on the tour where we'll actually have some time to explore the city more is when we come to the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, TX. Do you know the city well? Please comment below with some suggestions of the best places to eat and fun things to do. Dallas is a big city! We don't necessarily want the things that can be found in any tourist guide. We want the "insider's" perspective. And if you have special access to things off the beaten path, email us at totallytruckedblog (at) gmail (dot) com. We can't promise we'll go to everything or make videos of everything, but you'll be a big help.
We are excited that demand for Spring Awakening continues to grow across the USA. Here are a few added tour stops that have recently announced their next season. Currently, only subscriptions for the entire season are on sale (subscribers will get the best seats). You can sign up for newsletters on each venue's website to be alerted when single tickets are available for purchase (usually not until 3-4 months beforehand). Which one are you most excited for?! Shout out!

It looks, then, that we will not be in the northeast corridor for at least a full year after Washington DC, so if you are anywhere CLOSE to Providence, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC, plan your ROAD TRIP now!
We will have Guilty Ones Street Teams at all these locations. If you would like to sign up to help promote the show, send your name, age, and phone number from your primary email address to: nationalguiltyones@gmail.com Put the tour stop closest to you in the subject heading! If you are more than an hour away, it is unlikely we will be able to use your help.
NEW TOTALLYTRUCKED! VIDEO: Krystina and Chase in Dallas Chase and Krystina flew from Toronto to the land of BBQ and steerhorns, Dallas, Texas, to announce the Dallas Center for the Performing Art's 2010 season. These two live it up at ultra lux hotel Palomar but soon get to work as they sing "Don't Do Saddness/Blue Wind." This is probably the first time anyone has seen this combination. It's a Swing Awakening! Check out the SA cake in the end - yumm!

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How can I send fan mail to the cast?
If you just want to send a quick note to all the cast members telling them you appreciate their work, you can email us here at totallytruckedblog (at) gmail (dot) com. I will be happy to forward your email to the cast, but to preserve their privacy, it is unlikely they will email you back (I will, though).
You can also send individual performers fan mail and care packages care of the theatre at which we are currently performing or will be performing. Go to the theatre's website (listed above), find their mailing address, write the actor's name as well as "Spring Awakening" and send c/o the theatre. Remember, we are often at these theatres for only a week so make sure to allow for delivery times. It's a better bet to send it to the theatre we will be going to next as they can always hold packages for us until we arrive. Letters received late will not be forwarded to our next location.
2. How Can I Audition for Spring Awakening? From time to time, we have open calls in larger cities across the US. We will post any additional open calls here. Subscribe if you havn't already to keep informed. In the meantime, we've made it easy for you to submit yourself singing a folk/alternative rock song on video. Go to: http://www.springawakening.com/videoauditionsubmission/ Make sure your submission is less than 500 MB and is one of the accepted formats. Your screen should change and you should get a confirmation that says your submission has been received. Trust us, people are called in this way. Lucas Wells was cast because of an online submission!
3. How Do I Score On Stage Seats? That is really up to the individual theatres. Most of them won't release the seats until just before performances because they want to make sure the house is sold first. Some do so online, although the ticketing systems they have in place often can't accommodate our unique seats onstage. Most of them are available only at the box office (though you can purchase them for a performance in the future). The Guilty Ones Street Team members have the rights to purchase these seats before the general public. Any seats left over will be released to the box office and may also be purchased as part of rush tickets (discounted, day-of tickets).
4. How Do I Join The Guilty Ones? The National Guilty Ones Street Team is a way for fans of the show in each of our tour stops to help us spread the word. You will get access to parties, meet and greets, and other special events while meeting new friends who share your passion for the show, all while gaining some valuable marketing experience. You must be at least 15 yrs old. Email your contact info to nationalguiltyones (at) gmail (dot) com.
5.Can I Get Discounts? From time to time, a theatre may offer us discounts to send out to our fans. We will post any here on the blog. Subscribe now!
6. Who runs this site? This site was created for fans to stay connected with our touring cast and follow their adventures around North America. Ideally, it would be in the voice of the cast members. Unfortunately, our cast members are often too tired or busy to post lengthy blog posts on a regular basis. Company members will contribute a post from time to time and every month we will have a compiled blog post that most every company member will participate in. The other stuff like updates, etc, will be posted by me. My name is Pun. I work for the production, love this show, its cast, and our fans, and I'm so very glad you're here!
