Fan Friday: What Awards Would You Give The Cast?

Anthony: Most Energetic. Christy: Most sincere smile

Back in Detroit, we had a fan, Elyse, who made us plate awards, which we thought was really thoughtful. Here are the awards Elyse came up with:

-Taylor Trensch- Breakout singer
-Steffi D.- Brightest personality
-Matt Shingledecker- Most likely to be seen on Glee
-Anthony Lee Medina- Most energetic
-Ben Fankhauser- Kindest heart
-Robert Hager- Most mysterious
-Sarah Hunt- Soft spoken Diva
-Gabby Garza- Girl next door
-Kimiko Glenn- Small but mighty

-Krystina Alabado- the "poca-hotness!" award
-Krista Pioppi- Best dressed
-Chase Davidson- Most likely to bring a smile to your face
-Lucas Wells- Cutest dimples
-Justin Scott Brown- Prettiest eyes

Taylor: Breakout Singer, Matt: Most Likely To Be Seen On Glee.

As the cast wraps up their tenure with Spring Awakening this Sunday, we thought it would be cool to ask what awards YOU would give them? Post your awards below. You can also add our Adult Men and Women! We'll compile your comments and send them all to the cast, so feel free to post short thoughts about what this cast and this show has meant for you.

We still have more goodies coming for our fans next week (including Taylor's POM)!

I wanted to throw a shout out to the 4 adults on the show. I feel like they don't get enough love, but every time I've seen the show, they've been AMAZING! I've seen all but one perform, and they all do such a good job differentiating every character they play, and they always have such good, appropriate chemistry for whatever roles they're playing.

I don't even know what awards I'd give them. I'm not exactly a creative person, as much as I wish I was. But this cast is amazing(crew too!). I had wanted to see the show for so long, I knew all the songs, I felt as though I knew the characters, and then last month in Detroit, after 6 months with the tickets, I finally got to see the characters come to life. And everyone involved with the show exceeded my expectations. Taylor's portrayal of Moritz had me near tears nearly the entire time, Sarah and Steffi singing "The Dark I Know Well" gave me goosebumps...There are so many things I could say about this show and how amazing it was, but really, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for putting on this amazing show, and then taking the time to meet your fans afterwards. I'd been watching Jake on tv for ten years, and then I got to meet him! It was incredible!

Congratulations on a great tour you guys.

I know that wasn't short...

Steffi D- The "Most Fan Friendly" award (that or the "Most Unreadable signature" award)

Anthony Lee Medina- The "Coolest onstage hair" award
Matt Shingledecker- The "Best Twitter Name" award (That or the "Sexiest riffs" award)
Ben Fankhauser- The "Most adorable" award
Robert Hagar- The "Pussy Cat" award
Sarah Hunt- The "Wow, you're tall" award (but beautiful!)

Krista Pioppi- The "Best Lady Gaga harmonies" award

Lucas Wells- The "Most Awesome Ginger" award
Justin Scott Brown- The "I noticed you in the Chair of Rock, and thought you were attractive" award

I saw you in Detroit on May 4th, May 6th, and May 8th. I only had tickets for the 4th, but I couldn't not see it again. It touched me so much I can't even describe my experience. I met you all twice, (and I think I disappointed Jake by asking him how he went from Craig Manning to this because this is SO MUCH BETTER...I just shut up the second time) and you were all so incredibly nice. I'm really sad the tour is ending, but hopefully I'll have another chance to see the show again one day. And today is my two week "Spring-aversary" from the last time I saw it. Love you all! (Sorry this is so long)

So i saw you guys in ft.myers florida, and it had to have been one of my favorite shows at the theatre because, as you can most likely remember, there are a lot of oldies running around, and shows like Jersey Boys and South Pacific dont usually excite me. It was great watching you guys on stage and meeting you at the stage door because i couldnt ask for a nicer cast that you guys stayed and took pictures and talk with us for how ever long you could. Thanks for an amazing night and a show that i think will stand the test of time

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can I send fan mail to the cast?

If you just want to send a quick note to all the cast members telling them you appreciate their work, you can email us here at totallytruckedblog (at) gmail (dot) com. I will be happy to forward your email to the cast, but to preserve their privacy, it is unlikely they will email you back (I will, though).

You can also send individual performers fan mail and care packages care of the theatre at which we are currently performing or will be performing. Go to the theatre's website (listed above), find their mailing address, write the actor's name as well as "Spring Awakening" and send c/o the theatre. Remember, we are often at these theatres for only a week so make sure to allow for delivery times. It's a better bet to send it to the theatre we will be going to next as they can always hold packages for us until we arrive. Letters received late will not be forwarded to our next location.

2. How Can I Audition for Spring Awakening?
From time to time, we have open calls in larger cities across the US. We will post any additional open calls here. Subscribe if you havn't already to keep informed. In the meantime, we've made it easy for you to submit yourself singing a folk/alternative rock song on video. Go to: http://www.springawakening.com/videoauditionsubmission/ Make sure your submission is less than 500 MB and is one of the accepted formats. Your screen should change and you should get a confirmation that says your submission has been received. Trust us, people are called in this way. Lucas Wells was cast because of an online submission!

3. How Do I Score On Stage Seats?
That is really up to the individual theatres. Most of them won't release the seats until just before performances because they want to make sure the house is sold first. Some do so online, although the ticketing systems they have in place often can't accommodate our unique seats onstage. Most of them are available only at the box office (though you can purchase them for a performance in the future). The Guilty Ones Street Team members have the rights to purchase these seats before the general public. Any seats left over will be released to the box office and may also be purchased as part of rush tickets (discounted, day-of tickets).

4. How Do I Join The Guilty Ones?

The National Guilty Ones Street Team is a way for fans of the show in each of our tour stops to help us spread the word. You will get access to parties, meet and greets, and other special events while meeting new friends who share your passion for the show, all while gaining some valuable marketing experience. You must be at least 15 yrs old. Email your contact info to nationalguiltyones (at) gmail (dot) com.

5. Can I Get Discounts?

From time to time, a theatre may offer us discounts to send out to our fans. We will post any here on the blog. Subscribe now!

6. Who runs this site? This site was created for fans to stay connected with our touring cast and follow their adventures around North America. Ideally, it would be in the voice of the cast members. Unfortunately, our cast members are often too tired or busy to post lengthy blog posts on a regular basis. Company members will contribute a post from time to time and every month we will have a compiled blog post that most every company member will participate in. The other stuff like updates, etc, will be posted by me. My name is Pun. I work for the production, love this show, its cast, and our fans, and I'm so very glad you're here!
