Spring Awakening Tour: Gender Bending Medley
Our wonderful cast pulled together their talents to put on a very special cabaret at the Upright Cabaret in Los Angeles to benefit Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids (BC/EFA). Titled "Boys Will Be Girls Will Be Boys," this gender bending mash-up of SA tunes has our Bitch boys taking a stab at "Mama Who Bore Me" and "My Junk" while our girls do a truly amazing rendition of "Touch Me." As some have already noticed, Steffi D has gone even-steven with her once iconic hair bob--imitated by many. She documented the surgery in this week's vid. The hair has seen many a city and Steffi D has learned to adore the do over the last 3 years, but 'tis time for a change. Could she now be mistaken for a french/dutch/school boy? We don't think so, but sound out below!

Spring Awakening is auctioning off our chairs for Broadway Cares!

This is the season where every Broadway show across the country competes to raise money for a cause which is near and dear to our hearts: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year, in addition to giving proceeds from our cabaret to this worthwhile cause, Spring Awakening is auctioning off one of our Chairs of Rock! The whisper is that Paranormal Activity is the scariest movie ever made...but is that all marketing hype?? While in San Jose, our fearless cast members, not satisfied with their visit to the House of Torment, steeled themselves for a frightful night at the movies--Kayla's first horror movie ever! The evening started innocently enough with a friendly debate: What's the ultimate candy of choice for a night at the movies - Swedish Fish, Milk Duds, or Sour Patch Kids? The laughter soon turned to true terror, however, as the lights dimmed. Watch how the movie scared the bejesus out of our cast and how some well-meaning fans fed into their paranoia on the walk back to the hotel! Hilarious! The Bitch of the Unliving! The Spring cast gets in the Halloween spirit in Austin as they get Totally Scared visiting the infamous House of Torment. On the bus ride there, they play the "would you rather" game. What was the verdict? Some freaked out, some thought it was...ehh.
