You voted our sad, soulful sleepy head for your final Profile of the Month. A few days before the end of the tour, Taylor Trensch sits down with official Guilty One interviewer Steffi D and answers many of your questions. Listen as he gives us the 411 on his dream role, breaking the rules at his SA audition, and gives advice for gay teens coming out of the closet. Fan Friday: The Greenville Stage Door

The experience of Spring Awakening does not end after the house lights come up. On this blog, we announce the location of the stage door in every city we go to because we love talking with our fans. Not every Broadway show will have such an open policy or such generous company members. In fact, you may have seen many touring productions in your town and never, ever, entertained the notion of meeting the cast afterwards! It's rarely done, especially on tour. But know that at Spring Awakening, we welcome it. Perhaps it's because having audience members sit on stage with us makes the whole experience more intimate. Or because we see so many repeat customers and start recognizing faces. Most likely, it's because we share the same passion for the show that you do. If you've never done it before, this video by xNeonBwayx and photos by Randy WIlliams--both from the Peace Center in Greenville SC a few weeks ago-- will give you a better idea of what you can expect.

Spring Awakening in Hershey!

We're baaaack!

Happy New Year, everyone! It was a wonderful holiday break for the cast and crew. If you've been following their Twitter feeds, you'll have seen pics of gingerbread houses being made, gifts unwrapped, and families huddled together for the holidays. Here's one you havn't seen. Over the break, Steffi D was back in Canada and made a snow kitten! By the way, that's a vintage snowsuit from the 80's, yup yup.



We're excited to be in Hershey (after a very stressful travel day where airlines misplaced two of our cast members bags rackinfrackinUnitedAirlines...just sayin'). It's bitter cold, but everyone is looking forward to a cup of steaming Hershey's hot chocolate!

The orders came swiftly and precisely from Herr Direktor Michael Mayer himself: Ilse's asymmetrical bob is SO 2008 and it must indeed go! As some have already noticed, Steffi D has gone even-steven with her once iconic hair bob--imitated by many. She documented the surgery in this week's vid. The hair has seen many a city and Steffi D has learned to adore the do over the last 3 years, but 'tis time for a change. Could she now be mistaken for a french/dutch/school boy? We don't think so, but sound out below!

It's time for another Class Assignment. We asked our cast, crew and musicians, "What was the most *kick ass* Halloween costume you've ever had?" Here are the answers we received. Thought everyone would find this a-moo-sing.

Taylor Trensch

I am extremely passionate about Halloween costumes so, in my opinion, they have all been totally awesome. Most recently I was a sock monkey, Ash Ketchum, and DJ Samantha Ronson. As far as this year's costume goes I am having a hard time deciding between Peewee Herman (who is making a comeback!) and Arthur the aardvark (of PBS fame).



Krystina Alabado

My most kick ass Halloween costume was definitely when I was 5 years old and I dressed up as Jasmine from Aladdin. Because still to this day, I want to be her. She was my favorite Disney Princess back then and it was my favorite movie. I would watch that movie like everyday and dream about being Jasmine in real life, so when I got to be her on Halloween, it was the best.



Matt Shingledecker

I know this sounds utterly ridiculous, but in 7th grade, I went as Mt. Rushmore for a Halloween costume contest. I have no idea how I came up with that crazy idea. I wore a grey sheet, and doctored up a box with a picture of Mt. Rushmore on it and managed to put my face in the middle of all of the presidents. I somehow managed to win most creative. I wish I had a picture.

I guess the costume I am most proud of would have to be Quail man from Doug.



Jake Epstein

Now I've had a lot of kick ass Hallow's Eve costumes in my day. The one that comes to mind- my best one- was possibly my very first Halloween costume. When I was 7, every kid around me wanted to be a vampire, or a zombie, or a Ninja Turtle...but me, I wanted to be a cow. I asked my mom to make a realistic cow costume. It was incredible. Udders, spots, the whole deal. Best costume ever.



Steffi D

Most kick ass costume to date:
I went through this phase where I was obsessed with bows. They became my trademark while I was on Canadian Idol. Senior year, I created a BOW-LERINA costume. I was in a tutu with bows head to toe; millions of them in my hair.

I'm in love with Lady GaGa.
Halloween is the only day of the year where I can be her!
