We're messin' with Texas for two weeks!
Dallas is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States--and we plan to have fun here. The fun started yesterday with celebrating Shi Shi Gabor's birthday. Happy Birthday Matt! First thing some company members did after checking into swanky loft digs? Went out and tried to blend in with the locals:
Freddy Hall tweets: "I've been in Texas for five hours and already got me a real cowboy hat and some good ol ridin' boots." Anthony Lee Medina tweeted, "Gonna be a cowboy for two weeks. Heck Yes!"
TICKETS We're honored to be part of the inaugural season at the new, gorgeous AT&T Performing Arts Center. Come see us at the Winspear Opera House from March 23-April 4th. Get yo' tickets here.
DID YOU KNOW? The Dallas Arts District, which includes the AT&T Performing Arts Center and four other state of the art venues, is the largest urban arts district in the United States

8:40 am CT LIVE In-Studio TV Interview and Performance – Good Day Dallas
Steffi and Taylor perform "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind" on this local morning news/entertainment program.
UPDATE: Here it is! (ugh--sound is a little off) http://www.myfoxdfw.com/dpp/good_day/'spring-awakening'-cast-visits-good-day
Ugh, the sound technician really screwed this one up. You can barely hear the performance, only the interview afterwards.
REVIEWS
We couldn't have asked for more than this rave review from WFAA TV. "Brilliant. Some of the moments are simply breathtaking. It remains an important and defining work in American Musical Theatre." Check out some of the new footage of Robi Hager as Hanschen!
DALLAS MORNING NEWS "['TotallyFucked' is] one of the great moments of contemporary theater, and it's what won this musical eight 2007 Tony Awards on Broadway. The touring company nails it."

DALLAS OBSERVER "Spring Awakening is here, at last, in a big way downtown, and it's everything the New York version was, maybe even more." http://www.dallasobserver.com/2010-04-01/culture/spring-awakening-puts-teen-angst-to-a-driving-rock-beat-and-lets-it-go-buck-wild/
THEATERJONES A beautifully written rave review ("Life doesn't happen without some pain, as brilliantly depicted in Spring Awakening.") that also goes into the history and significance of the original play.http://theaterjones.com/index.php?section=reviews&id=20100324074354
KERA: Spring Awakening really succeeds at those moments when all the hormonal impatience and repressed teen energy are vividly transmitted by director Michael Mayer’s dark, aggressive staging and Bill T. Jones’ stomping, twitching choreography. http://www.kera.org/artandseek/content/2010/03/25/review-spring-awakening-at-the-winspear/
PEGASUS NEWS and DALLAS THEATRE EXAMINER "Never before have I seen a musical with such deeply felt melancholy, such anarchy and volcanic disillusionment. Every once in awhile a show comes along that overwhelms you. Fries you down to the last brain cell. Elicits deep shivers." http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2010/mar/29/theater-review-part-deux-spring-awakening-winspear/?refscroll=580
D MAGAZINE, FRONT ROW "Every parent should be required to see this. The magic of the piece is that it shows the world as the adolescent sees it – something that adult amnesia protects parents from. They need reminding."

Any idea if there's going to be a student rush offer in Dallas?
Great show, cast! Was there on Sunday and coming back Saturday. Thanks for coming to Texas!
Fantastic job! I had been waiting for the tour for many months, and it did not disappoint! I saw it twice and was taken aback both times by the brilliance.
