Are bananas your favorite fruit? :]

Where on earth do you come up with the ideas for some of your songs & skits, like "I've Got A Dollar"?

What drew you to Spring Awakening?

What is your favorite part of being in the touring cast?

Anonymous said...

Are you single?! :)

Anonymous said...

Many of the Guilty Ones often question your sanity after seeing some of your backstage videos for Spring Awakening. How does this make you feel?

Anonymous said...

-What was it like working on Broadway for three months?

-Did Jonathan Groff give you any advice once you took over for Melchior? Anything memorable?

-Do you have any wild stories from the stage door? Have you ever been asked to sign anything strange? For example, a forehead?

"Song for Amanda" is such a great song. Did you ever get to meet Amanda Bynes?

Anonymous said...

How long did it take you to get comfortable during "I Believe" and was it a difficult scene to do when your parents saw the show for the first time?

Anonymous said...

What is your favorite thing to do backstage before a show?

Anonymous said...

Are you single? How long are you staying with the tour?

Anonymous said...

In all the videos I've seen, you always seem to be giving the Energizer Bunny a run for its money. Wherever do you find that energy?

Anonymous said...

Being a Canadian, do you feel like you are representing your country when you are performing? Does the cast tease you or make fun of you because you are from Canada?

Anonymous said...

There are numerous (valid) interpretations of the Melchior character - he can be played more sympathetically, more bold and almost bossy, colder/more aloof, and so on... Your interpretation feels very different in tone to me from Groff's and also different from other understudies I've seen. How do you see Melchior, and is it your view that shapes your approach to him or direction?

(My Toronto suggestion were posted in the last call weeks ago and I stand by them!)

Is there a food out there that you LOVE, but everyone else hates/thinks is disgusting?

toronto suggestions:
- visit muchmusic; a live show of much on demand. it'd be pretty sick if you guys were guests on the show, but to be a part of the audience, tickets are free--hells yes.
- visit the cn tower; that damn glass floor...
- go see the musical 'we will rock you' at the panasonic theatre. that show has been playing for a while now, extended so many times... it's gonna have some competition while spring awakening is in town. (:
- hockey hall of fame; c'mon, you're in canada.
- go to chinatown, maybe? on spadina.
- um, beaucoup de shopping. seriously.

...and, that's all i can think of right now.

Toronto Suggestions:

***Salad King (thai restaurant). Just located down the street by Ryerson University (Yonge Street & Gould Street)www.saladking.com
It is a DELICIOUS place to go (all the University students head there for lunch daily). Note: it is seriously always busy, don't go in groups larger than 4...or you won't have much luck!

***Check out the Theatre School at Ryerson University. They have students studying acting, dance and production. The school is the only one of its kind within Canada! Depending on when you arrive into town / if you have time, you should check out "Choreographic Works" which is currently being shown at the theatre until March 14th. It showcases the choreography and talent of the 3rd and 4th year dance students. It is SERIOUSLY impressive! I promise you won't be dissapointed in their talents.
www.ryerson.ca/theatreschool/

***Kensington Market (bohemian area with great shops, restaurants etc)..its NOT to be missed! www.kensington-market.ca

***Walk along Queen Street, it is a very trendy area with cutting edge clothing shops!

***St. Lawerence Market: amazing fresh fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses...if you plan on cooking for yourself during your stay - you MUST check the market out. You won't find quality goods like it anywhere else in the city. Saturdays are the special Farmers Market days, but any day of the week (closed on Mondays) will satisfy your needs. www.stlawrencemarket.com

***You should go to the CN tower (worlds largest free standing structure) just to say you've been - but it's not TOO exciting.

***We also have great museums and art gallerys (The ROM, AGO, Bata Shoe Museum) which are always interesting

***The Distillery District is a GREAT location! Very unique, in its own little world. Micro-breweries (taste some of our world famous beer!), SOMA chocolatier (mmm), unique restaurants, cafes and galleries. www.thedistillerydistrict.com

There are many lovely lovely places within Toronto, be sure to stray from the "tourist path" and get to know the REAL city! Enjoy your stay! <3
